#Join RGV Rush

F.A.Q

  • How do I join?

Any player who is interested in joining the Rush Competitive division can do so at any time. No need to wait until tryouts. Players are invited to train with a Rush team in their respective age group to determine the best developmental placement for them. Please contact us and we will connect you with the appropriate DOC to help begin this process.

  • How are players grouped?

The Head Coach will select his/her team with the assistance of the Directors of Coaching of the Rush. Tryouts for all U11 players and players outside the club will take place during certain times of the year. Due to the evaluation process, tryouts are not required for currently registered U12 and older Competitive Rush players during tryout week. However, if a current Rush Competitive player wishes to move to another team, they are encouraged to attend tryouts, as it is the final step in the evaluation process. Upcoming tryout dates can be found here.

  • Where do you train?

Our teams train at The Cage Complex (Mission, TX) and SpringFest Soccer Complex (McAllen, TX), providing players with excellent facilities to develop their skills, compete, and grow in a positive and professional soccer environment.

  • What should I bring?

Please arrive 30-45 minutes before the tryout to confirm your registration. Players are expected to come with a pumped-up soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, and proper soccer/athletic attire. All players are required to bring sufficient water to stay hydrated.

  • Can players move groups?

During any other time of the year, a Rush player may be asked to transfer or may request a transfer to another Rush team. The Rush will transfer this player, only in certain circumstances such as injuries, player/coach conflicts, consideration of the implications of the entire age group, ability level, etc. Head Coaches must communicate to their respective DOC to approve any player movement within the club. This process will always be done with the player in mind first and what is best for their development.

  • Do you offer year-round programs?

Yes! We offer year-round soccer programs designed to support continuous player development. Throughout the year, players have opportunities to participate in seasonal league play, technical training, camps, clinics, and additional development programs based on their age and skill level.
